People Practices for Business Owners of Fast-Growing Companies

People Practices for Business Owners of Fast-Growing Companies

Business Owners of fast growing companies often are so caught up in business growth that even though they know they need to focus on people practices they are not be sure where to begin. A company that in 2008 had ten employees, 2009 had 25 and in 2011 is projected to have 65 likely is on the verge of needing some systems to support that growth. The kinds of systems that develop sustainable people practices and business practices include; a recruitment and retention strategy, onboarding best practices, growth charts, organizational charts, employee handbook, etc. In 2008 with ten employees it probably was a little bit presumptions to put together an employee handbook. Now in 2011 in growth-mode with the petal-to-the-metal developing strong people practices are essential to maintaining a sustainable business.
